Starting the Day Right
The day began in style at a York Place Air B&B, setting the tone for a day that was all about easygoing vibes and laid-back love. It was quite amusing watching a gang of Canadian and Aussie men problem-solve kilts - but they managed it… Just.
Pub Crawl Shenanigans
Skipping the traditional route, R+J kicked off the festivities with a pub crawl down Leith Walk. It was a prelude to the main event, and the couple sure knew how to get the party started. There were pints, shots and gins!
Leith Arches - Quirky Vibes
Leith Arches, a hidden gem in Edinburgh, played host to the main event. Its industrial charm and offbeat character perfectly matched R+J's colorful personalities, making it the ideal backdrop for their celebration.
Brotherly Business - Officiating the Ceremony
No officiant? No problem. R+J's brothers took charge of the ceremony, injecting a healthy dose of humour and personal touches that made the whole affair feel like a genuine celebration of love. This was perfect as the couple had already done their legals back in Easter.
Street Food
No fancy sit-down dinners here – just pizza vans and food vendors dishing out deliciousness. The couple opted for a relaxed vibe, letting guests chow down on tasty treats and soak in the good times.
Sidestreet Confetti Chaos
Forget the traditional confetti toss. R+J took it to a side street for an epic confetti showdown, creating a spectacle that even I couldn't resist capturing with pure excitement. There were even canons - my faves!
Digital Hugs - Speeches Across Borders
The groom's mum in Canada may have been miles away, but thanks to technology, her heartfelt speech echoed through the venue, connecting continents and tugging at heartstrings. There was also more than one mention of the Lord and Saviour herself - T-Swift. My kinda people.
Dancefloor Madness
The night reached its peak with an all-out dance floor frenzy. R+J and their guests brought their A-game, proving that when it comes to celebration, these two know how to keep it real and seriously fun. Despite guests travelling from all over the globe, they managed to tear it up to classics from The Proclaimers!
