I am an Edinburgh lifestyle family photographer, and my newborn sessions are all about capturing the real, everyday magic of those first few weeks with your baby. No stiff posing, no props, no stress. Just honest, beautiful moments in the home you brought your little one back to.
A Baby Led, Relaxed Approach
My newborn sessions are completely baby led. We move slowly, take our time, and follow your baby’s needs. Whether that means stopping for cuddles, a feed, or a nappy change, there is never any rush. Sessions usually last around an hour but can sometimes run a little longer, depending on how the day flows.

When to Book Your Newborn Session
I always recommend booking your newborn session in advance, ideally while you are still pregnant. We will pencil in your due date, and then once your baby arrives, we will find a date that suits you all. I usually photograph newborns during the week when things are a little quieter and more relaxed.
Booking ahead means you will have one less thing to think about once your little one is here, and we can make sure there is plenty of flexibility around your recovery and your baby’s arrival.
Your Home, Your Story
I photograph you all at home, in your own environment, where you are most comfortable. There is no pressure for your house to look perfect. It is about capturing your family as you are, in the spaces where those early memories are being made. One day, years or decades from now, it will mean so much to look back at these photos, remembering the home you first brought your baby into, the little corners filled with love, and the feeling of that newborn bubble.
What You Will Receive
You can expect around 70 carefully edited images in your final gallery, all ready to download and share. You will also have access to a private online store where you can order prints, frames, albums, and other beautiful keepsakes if you would like to bring your memories to life.

I do not offer posed studio style newborn sessions with props and setups. My style is all about real connection, natural light, and capturing the story of your family with heart.
